While I was on vacation in Belize with my adult daughters, I really slowed down.

It’s the weather, the time to BE rather than DO.

I usually meditated in the morning before my daughters woke up. It gave me the chance to connect in, so I could be present for the day. It also helped walking barefoot to be grounded, and let any bit of worry and anxiety be just taken away by the earth, the water and the air. I learned to trust that I am in the right space and the right time.

Here is a little exercise that I cultivated:

Take a seat or stand or lie down.

Feel that the seat you are sitting on is actually the universe holding you with so much love and care. It knows you, it can take care of your worries.

Just notice what is inside of you right this moment.  Is there anything that you are blocking right now? Maybe in your solar plexus? Maybe in the back of your neck? (Those are my common places) Pay attention to how you are blocking it, and then allow the space around you to take it away. It also feels sometimes that there is a valve that I am keeping closed a bit, and I can allow it to open, so that divine light can enter me. Really focus on how you are blocking divine love from entering you.

Feel fully present in who you are at this moment. Feel the thoughts that are happening right now. Surround them with a feeling of safety, so that they can be seen and felt. Can they see that it’s okay to trust the present moment and let go into full presence?

Once your energy centres are open, the thoughts relaxed back, notice what you feel? Do you feel tingling in your crown? Do you feel that the universe has your back? Can you let it energy from the back? Are you able to radiate out? Be open to receiving messages from your higher Self, or guides. It feels more like a thought but it is not closing down the heart and it is a bit counter what you would normally think or feel, with more trust and expansiveness.

Just try it out!
